I am interested in PCB design, but I am new in this area.I have a background in electronics engineering.

Can anyone guide me if there're any tutorials/resources available on the net to to get a fair idea about PCB design?

Go and check CadSoft Eagle. There should be an english version of the website. You can try the free version. The tutorials come handy for newbies.
