SMD min. distance from V-Groove cut
Hello everybody,

I'm the Process Engineer of Fa. STECA in Germany.
I've got some questions regarding minimum
distance of SMDs to the V-Groove cut.
We're using a cutting machine to seperate our
PCBs from the array.
In that case, what is also the recommendet orientation of the SMDs to the V-Groove cut
Thanks in advance

regards

Hi Peter,
Thanks for your Question.
In PCB-Pool(R) we will route seperate PCB`s for you should you require, subject to FKP ?9.72min.
Minimum distance of SMD`s to the contour, when using a scoring (ritzen) machine, or a Guillotine. I think really that your own
discretion should be used.
The standard size for the scoring tool is 0.5mm. If you are using a guillotine, you should take the Specifications of your own machine in to account.
With regards to recommended orientation of the SMD`s that should also be your decision.
Thanks again
All the Best
